Displaylink Driver Windows Server 2012
Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 require that when multiple graphics adapters are used in a computer, they must be of the same display driver model type: either Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM), or Windows XP Display Driver Model (XPDM). If multiple WDDM graphics adapters are present, then they must all use the same WDDM driver. If the either requirement is not met, then Windows uses the adapter that was used to start the computer, and disables any others.
For more information about using specific features of your graphics adapter, visit the manufacturer's Web site. For more information about using multiple graphics adapters and multiple monitors, see 'MultiMonitor Support and Windows Vista' at on the Microsoft Web site. I'm in the same boat as Shawn - I've been using this beta driver since the day they released it as I have an inspiron duo - fantastic, but no VGA! It works perfectly.
A bit slow when putting out a max resolution to a large 1080 tv, but if you just stick it down to 800 x 600 and stretch it once on the tv then it runs smooth, and there's not really any noticeable deterioration in quality, even when watching movies. Looking forward to an update to it that copes better, but for the time being it's perfectly useable. Hey Godwinium, From the Metro UI Control Panel, choose More Settings to get to the Desktop Control Panel. From there click on View Devices and Printers under Hardware and Sound. Check there to see if your adapter is showing up with an '!'
, if so right click the device and choose Troubleshoot. Also, right click on the desktop and choose Screen Resolution, and verify the monitor connected to the adapter is showing up in the Display: drop down list. Lastly, check Device Manager (WIN+r, devmgmt.msc, Enter) for the monitor and the adapter and whether or not you see any '!' Or 'x' next to those devices.
